It is much sadness that we share the news that Mary Elisa Norment (good friend and board member of The XA Project) passed away on September 13, 2018 due to breast cancer. Mary Elisa was an enthusiastic supporter of The XA Project from the very beginning. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of so many. We will miss her dearly.
The Xavier Alexander Atienza Project, Inc. (dba. The XA Project) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity (EIN: 47-1512009) committed to bringing joy and smiles to seriously ill children and their families through the power of the Arts.
Our Vision: To bring comfort, joy and smiles to all pediatric patient families through inspiring artistic performances (e.g., music, dance, theatre, martial arts) at local theatre venues and at pediatric hospitals year round.
The XA Project funds go directly to creating opportunities for children with life-threatening illness (and their families) to experience inspiring artistic performances in the community (e.g., The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Strathmore Music Center), as well as, at health care facilities (e.g., Children’s National Medical Center, The Children’s Inn at NIH). We also support arts organizations to train talented young artists with the goal for the young artists to share their talents with pediatric patient families dealing with life-threatening illnesses.
