The XA Project is starting new partnerships with the Children’s Inn at NIH, the Strathmore Music Center and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra to share the beauty and joy of the performing arts with pediatric patients (and families) receiving medical care at the National Institutes of Health. On May 28, 2015, we will be bringing pediatric patients and their families to attend the BSO: Tribute to John Williams concert. John Williams composed many well-known musical scores including Star Wars, Harry Potter, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Schindler’s List, etc. RMA Limo has generously agreed to donate transportation for the families to the go to the Strathmore.
We are also seeking to hold a BSO mini-concert at the Children’s Inn on May 28, 2014 before the concert at NIH for kids and families who are unable to leave the Children’s Inn. The XA Project expresses much gratitude to the Children’s Inn, the Strathmore, BSO and RMA Limo for helping to make this happen.
The XA Project plans to work with our partners to bring pediatric patients and families staying at the Children’s Inn at NIH to other inspiring performances at the Strathmore during the 2015-2016 concert season. The Arts really do Touch Hearts!
